Katey is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in San Antonio, Texas. She has a passion for helping those in need; whether a client is on a journey of grief and healing, coping with trauma, going through hard life transitions, or just in need of an unbiased support person. 

Katey understands the courage it can take for a client to come and seek professional support and honors her client through whatever journey they are currently on. Katey strives to not only help clients identify the roots of their present concerns, but also to guide clients to find coping tools that meet them at their needs and empower them to apply those tools. Taking the steps to grow or heal can be challenging and Katey tries her best to provide the space and support for her clients as they bloom.

Katey has experience working through a person-centered approach and play therapy, utilizing creative interventions, with individuals ranging from 5 years and up; specifically in the areas of grief, trauma and adjustment. Her specialties are working with children, individuals, families or couples effected by grief (main experience working with loss by suicide), traumatic grief, life adjustments and transitions.

Katey believes in a collaborative approach with her clients in an effort to craft care specialized to the client in their specific season of life. This collaborative effort expands to her work with children, adults, couples and families, because working as a team, counselor and client, will help gear clients to attaining the tools they need to thrive.

Rates:

• $100 per 50 minute individual session

• Limited amounts of sliding scale spots available upon request

• Accepts private pay only
